Project overview

The art museum interactive kiosk project was designed for an exhibition about René Magritte, aiming to create an engaging and educational digital experience. The touchscreen interface, crafted for a 1920x1080 resolution, invites visitors to explore Magritte's surrealist works through interactive elements that reveal deeper insights into his artistic philosophy and techniques. The project combines thoughtful UI/UX design with visually captivating content to offer an immersive and informative journey into Magritte’s imaginative world.

Role

I was responsible for designing the visual elements, including layout, typography, color scheme, and overall aesthetic appeal, reflecting Magritte's surrealist style. I considered accessibility principles to ensure that the kiosk was usable by all visitors, including those with disabilities. Additionally, I created wireframes and prototypes to visualize the structure and functionality of the interactive experience.

Process

The process for designing the art museum interactive kiosk began with researching René Magritte's surrealist art to guide the visual and interactive elements. I created wireframes to map the structure and flow, followed by designing the layout, typography, and color scheme to reflect his style. I ensured the design was accessible to all users and developed prototypes to test and refine the interactive features for a smooth, engaging experience.
